Terms & conditions

For terms of the contract, LivEnglish, (including all of its employees), shall be referred to as “The Educator”, and the student shall be referred to as “The Student”.

General:

1. The Student shall pay the entire registration fee in advance before being able to enter the virtual classes. 2. Payments are non-refundable. The Student may request a full refund seven (7) business days prior to the start of the course.

3. The Educator agrees to affirm the Student’s payment by email, indicating the monetary amount received, the course purchased, and the schedule chosen by the Student for the Student’s personal records.

4. It is understood that The Educator will honor the term paid for by The Student (1 month, three months, or one year), and that The Educator does not commit to further instructional time until The Student cancels his/her next course.

5. It is the responsibility of the Student to have an internet connection with sufficient speed for teleconferencing via Zoom with a maximum of 25 people connected. The Educator will not be responsible for information that was not received by the Student due to an internet connection not suitable for the described teleconference.

6. All teleconferences, courses, or videos are the sole property of The Educator. No reproduction or sharing of course materials with non-registrants is permitted. Breaking this command will result in expulsion of the Student from the program, and possible claims for damages to the Educator.

7. The Student must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in the program, as the material presented will be intended for mature, adult students8 . Verbal or mental abuse of any kind toward any other person will not be tolerated. Teasing of students learning a new language will not be tolerated. Disruptions to classes will not be tolerated. Breaking this rule will result in:

Warning from The Educator to The Student in private.
A warning from the Educator to the Student in public during teleconferences, and,
expulsion of the Student without refund.

9. The Educator may cancel two (2) classes per schedule during the three (3) month levels. The Educator agrees to give twelve (12) hours notice prior to the cancellation of a class.

10. Limited Space: Since space is limited, the Educator will give priority to the Student to register for the next course for seven (7) days before starting a new level or course. If the Student does not enroll by the deadline, the Educator will determine that the Student has relinquished his/her seat, and the Educator will proceed to enroll students on the waiting list.

None of these terms are negotiable, and are in place to ensure an excellent learning environment for all LivEnglish students.
